ROCKY
Rocky is an adorable 9 month old male Sable and White Sheltie. He is a small Sheltie, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in heart. He is full of energy, loves to play and is very loving and loyal to his owners. He is shy and takes time to get used to his surroundings, but will settle in and be a wonderful companion. He is healthy, good with other dogs, house trained and a quick learner. Because he is shy he would be best with older children. An active family would suit him best because he is a high energy dog. He loves to go for walks, play with his toys and be chased. But he also is content to lie next to his owners and cuddle. An obedience class or basic training is recommended. He is ready and waiting to find an owner who will give him the love and patience he deserves.
CRICKET
Cricket - Possibly a litter mate to Phoebe, Cricket is also a very small, sable sheltie, about 8-9 years old. She is darling, sweet and calm. Their dispositions are very similar and if you are looking for a pair of mature girls, these would do very well together. She also has low thyroid and is over weight, but may only need medication until she reaches her goal weight. She is approximately 18 lbs and should probably weigh 14 lbs. She is loving and sweet, wanting very badly to be with her own person and to be a pet at last. She is learning to be potty trained and to walk on leash, and will be a fantastic, loving companion. She likes other dogs, cats, and kids. This is another classic sheltie, with a gentle, sweet personality that can't be beat.
SUNNY
Sunny - Sunny is near perfection! A tiny sheltie with a gorgeous coat and melting brown eyes, she is the cutest thing imaginable! She weighs 15 lbs. and should weigh about 12 lbs...she is a compact bundle of love! Very, very affectionate and full of personality, she is one of a kind! She is nearly housebroken (in just a few days, she is very smart!), loves to lay in your lap and watch TV, and is full of energy, too! You can't find a more wonderful companion and she loves kids and cats, too! She has one flaw, though...she does not like other dogs! She has decided that being one of a pack is just not right for her! So, being born to be spoiled, she has decided that she is to be the only dog in "her" household! She is just amazing though, and you will fall in love with her in an instant...if you don't have a dog around, and want a tiny friend to spoil rotten... this is your girl!!
WILLOW
Willow is a sweet and wonderful, spayed female, estimated to be 10-12 years young, sable and white Sheltie. She puts her head in your lap when she want affection and loves to cuddle on the couch and sleep next to the bed at night. She has a spry look in her eyes and loves to go for walks and can do some stairs.
Willow was rescued from the animal shelter on her available date as she had not been eating well for her eight day stay. (The holding days were extended because of holidays.) She is now enjoying warm beds, soft food and lots of love. She is a good eater now that she had a good dental cleaning and 22 extractions. Yes, that is right, Willow had 22 teeth pulled because of years of painful neglect and now she is feeling so much better.
She was also debarked at some point and has a hoarse bark and an occasional gagging cough. Keeping her at a good weight is important because she has a little bit of a sway back and she has some exercises recommended by her physical therapist.
Since Willow is so sweet and easy to love, we are hoping that an amazing home will realize how valuable and precious she is and want to make her a part of their family. These are the most rewarding dogs in rescue, they require so little and give so much.
